Born and raised in South Carolina with small town values of Christian faith, love for God,

love for family, and love of country. Alan has been playing guitar and writing songs since

the age of 12, playing music in the great tradition of the singer/ songwriters of the 70's.

Alan Vail recaptures this golden era of music with great melodies and vocals as crisp and

clear as a mountain stream. With original music that shows a great appreciation of the

beauty found in nature, Alan Vail has been called "The John Denver of South Carolina".

His latest CD, BACK IN CAROLINA, is a collection of songs inspired by fond memories and

reflections of his early years in South Carolina.
